The Signatory Superb marks the entry into Vispring’s two-layer spring architecture, blending hand-opened long-stranded Austrian Moosburger® horsetail with hand-teased Real Shetland Wool and cashmere to shape both the feel and thermal behavior of the sleep surface. The ticking uses wool, silk, and viscose for breathability and softness from the first touch, while the upholstery builds gradually: British fleece wool for resilience and moisture regulation, followed by the horsetail and the fine transition layer of Shetland Wool blended with cashmere to moderate temperature without trapping heat.
A blend of Real Shetland Wool and organic cotton completes the upholstery core, adding body and absorptive capacity through the night. The spring system features two layers of hand-nested, vanadium steel calico pocket springs with 3,296 springs in a King size, responding independently to weight and movement to maintain continuous support rather than averaging across zones. The border is upholstered with coir and wool, anchored by four rows of hand side-stitching to firm the perimeter, extend the usable sleep surface to the edge, and preserve the upholstery profile over years of use. Each mattress is hand-tufted with woollen tufts and twine, compressing the filling layers into a stable, consistent depth at every tuft point.
